Wine tasting sheet for 8 people

Make the sheets View: A4 · Letter
Eight is the size most home tastings land on, and the sheets are set for it: eight guest sheets, one per person with the host included, and a host sheet whose scoreboard has eight named or numbered rows. Each guest's sheet puts the glasses on numbered rings with a short column under each: five small rings for a score, one word, a guess and what they would pay, plus two lines of notes. The host sheet lists the answers in glass order, and its pour line does the sum for eight: 8 guests, 6 wines, 60 ml a taste, one bottle of each. If you name the seats, the scoreboard rows and the keepsake carry the names, and place cards print six to a page, so eight guests take two pages. It suits a dinner party or a Friday with friends, blind or open, with four to eight wines.
Set the table for eight with the sheets at each place and the glasses on the rings, and keep the host sheet in a pocket. Pour one wine at a time, a taste for everyone, which with eight people takes a minute per glass. Give the table time to write and talk, then move on. With six wines on A4 or Letter each guest has two sheets side by side, three glasses each, so check the table is long enough or print A3 for one sheet per guest. Print eight guest sheets, or sixteen for two per person, one host sheet, the tags and the reveal cards. If someone cancels, set seven before you print and the scoreboard and pour line follow. Put two spittoons and a jug of water on a table of eight, so nobody has to reach.
Questions
How much wine do I need for a tasting for 8 people?
One bottle of each wine. A tasting pour is about 60 ml, so eight guests take under 500 ml of a 750 ml bottle, leaving some for a second taste or dinner.
How many wines should I serve for 8 people?
Five to eight. Six is the most common choice: enough to compare, few enough to remember, and about an hour and a half at the table.
